This should be 1000x better than PBF v. Spinks. If Baldomir just plods forward from bell to bell like he did against Gatti, Mayweather might just have a fight on his hands.

I dont know if that will happen. Mayweather is so good. Baldomir is gonna have a tough time catching Mayweather clean. It could be Mayweather - Gatti all over again... Baldomir is really gonna have to get quick before this one.

I'd take about any bet that Mayweather wins this one by TKO. I know Baldomir has the chin of stone but I'm predicting he gets cut and cut often or perhaps a closed eye. Folks, although I hate him, Mayweather is the best fighter to come around for a long, long time. Had he came up in the 80's, he would have held his own and, perhaps, dominated the likes of Sugar Ray, Duran, Hearns, Arquello, etc.

Anybody watching this fight this weekend on B.A.D?

http://www.hbo.com/boxing/events/2006/0 ... index.html

I think it should be a good fight. I wanna get a look at this prospect Paul Williams.

I will be watching.
Williams is good. He is too lanky for the weight. His reach is deadly.
I've seen him fight once, and he used his jab just as he should.
I don't see Sharmba giving him any trouble, if he jabs as he should.

And on the Mayweather note- Screw Mayweather.
If you like Dusty Baker you like Mayweather.

Paul Williams is a bad man. I haven't been that impressed in a young fighter for a while. Hard to tell if he can take a punch because I doubt if he's been hit much with a 80+ inch reach.

He actually gets hit quite a bit despite the 80+ inch reach. I have seen him fight twice now, and he is very active for someone with a tremendous reach and height advantage a welterweight. Sharmba caught him good quite a few times with counterpunches, and Williams basically scoffed at them. Paul has an exceptional chin, and he'll need it against bigger punchers with his fighting style.

Apparently he is now a mandatory defense for Margarito. Both Margarito and Williams feel they have been dodged by the upper tier of welterweights, but it would become even more difficult to get a big fight for the winner of that one. I would love to see it, if it happens.

Williams-Margarito could be the best fight in years.
Two guys the public doesn't know about, but might be two of the best.
After those two get it on, I'd like to see the winner take on my personal favorite-Cotto.
I love watching Cotto go. And against either of those, lookout.
