First preseason game a few days away. I'm excited.

And the Rams lose.... But it's only a preseason game. For the first half or so, the team looked okay, but then the last half didn't look as pretty. Bradford seemed okay when he had time to pass the ball.

I'll be shocked if we win a game. It's Steven Jackson and everyone else. I also don't believe that Spags and Devaney are the right men for their jobs. I haven't seen any improvement from the team thus far.

Devaney was behind the 2007 and 2008 drafts. So the blame should fairly be placed on him. The offense is going to be much worse this year, and that's saying something. Shurmur should've been axed in the offseason.

You have to draft for the system, too. I think they deserve at least two more years to field a non-embarrassing 5-7 win team.Centreville wrote:Devaney was behind the 2007 and 2008 drafts. Uh, no. Devaney wasn't behind the 2007 draft. He was hired to help with the draft for '08, so the past draft(Bradford) was his 3rd. Devaney wasn't in charge of drafting only one player that still plays for the team from the 2007 draft. You don't axe an OC after 1 year, that would be the 4th coordinator in as many years.Centreville wrote:Devaney was behind the 2007 and 2008 drafts. So the blame should fairly be placed on him. I think Spags is the right man for the job, I just dont know if he will survive as coach long enough for anyone to know it. The Rams have dug a hole so deep that I am not sure they will start winning in the next 2 years. I hope they give him the chance to get some decent personell and see what kind of coach spags really is, but with the roster they had last year, I dont think Jesus Christ could have helped them win.
... Then again, I dont know how much Jesus knows about football, so i cant say.

The Rams win 19-17 against the Browns, allowing no sacks. Bradford was less than stellar, but it was raining.
