We'll flush that system out this afternoon! :P
If it stays black, though, that's worrisome. Once, and it just may be your plumbing readjusting. But black could be a sign of blood in your stool, too. I'm no doctor, but seriously, if it doesn't change with the next one, I'd double-check with your doctor.

PATENT PENDING, MOTHER [expletive].
Apparently peptobismol already has the patent on turning it black. Now If you can come up with a black liquid you drink and it turns it pink you got yourself something.

My wife wants to start a band called Beet Panic. Named for the next day when you look and think "Holy [expletive]! What's wrong with me? oh yeah, I ate beets."

Pepto turns it black. A couple of nights ago I was feeling good and took a scoop of ice cream ... BIG mistake. I downed a bunch of pepto and when I woke up the next day and was brushing my teeth I was spitting this black stuff. WTF NOW? Black spit? Holy [expletive]. So I google it of course, thinking my system is just completely [expletive], and the first hit is this effect pepto has on your spit and your stool - sure enough a couple of hours later I was [expletive] black.

That's why I say if you could come up with a black liquid type thing and make it turn your poop pink that would be rich.

One of the best band names I've ever heard.
