Not a good combine for Sam.

It's the continuation of a general movement everywhere toward strict objective measurements. I think it would be interesting to give these combine type tests mid season to some star players and see how they do. I'm guessing some of the best players in the league won't be dazzling anyone with a 40 time or a 3 cone drill time or a vertical jump off the charts. Being fast and having explosive power is part of it, but there is a helluva lot more going on than that on every play.
