I'm hoping the Cavs get George and then sign both Melo and DWade for the vet minimum so I can just quit the NBA altogether.

Malcolm Brogdon has to be the lowest pick to win Rookie of the Year, right?

The Jimmy Butler return isn't looking so bad right about now.Farewell Friends wrote:Chris Paul being traded to the Rockets.

Seems like different circumstances, though. CP3 had to opt in to his deal to get traded to Houston. If it was somewhere he didn't want to go, he'd just opt out and become a free agent. Clips had virtually no leverage.thrill wrote:The Jimmy Butler return isn't looking so bad right about now.Farewell Friends wrote:Chris Paul being traded to the Rockets.

Re: 2017 NBA Offseason
Circumstances are definitely different, but with two perennial playoff teams facing a full rebuild, one team got three assets with a lot of potential for their star, and one team didn't. Now they'll lose Blake to free agency and be god awful. If the goal is cap space, they have it, but if the goal is a sincere rebuild, they didn't do well here.MrCrowesGarden wrote:Seems like different circumstances, though. If anything, they should have traded CP a year ago when it was clear they weren't getting over and they still had leverage.

I thought I read they like their chances of Blake returning now that CP3 is gone.
Also saw that Houston thinks they can get Paul George or Melo there. If George goes to the Rockets instead of the Celtics, I will giggle in delight.

Does Carmelo Anthony offer anything at this point? I haven't seen him play in years so I really don't know but sure seems like his ship has sailed.
