My ice maker doesn't make quite enough to keep my craft beer stockpile cool.

I have 33.5 PTO days left for the year. I can only carryover 8 days. So when and where am I going to take the other 25.5 days?
I'm with you there. I was actually planning on taking this week off to take a road trip to Florida to see a friend play in the US Open for pickleball and then visit with my brother and his family in Boca Raton. Thankfully I hadn't scheduled it yet. I was going to schedule it the week that they gave the work from home orders and wisely decided not to because the general company policy right now is that if you scheduled it, you can't take it back. They are wary of this lasting a few months and then suddenly everybody has all of their vacation and tries to use it at once.

I found a deal for a refurbished 1TB PS4 with 3 games for $235.00. I also ordered another controller and MLB The Show 20.

Should all be here by Thursday.

The longer this goes on, the more likely I am to buy a new gaming system and I REALLY do not need one.

I'm still trying to hold out until the next GTA is released but another month of being stuck at home and I'll cave. Also, that means I'll have to cave and get Charter back for Internet. Currently I just use my phone's hotspot for Internet and that allows me to stream anything I want and work from home without any issues (and saves me money since T-Mobile doesn't hassle me about how much data I use) but when it comes to downloading games and updates... it isn't nearly fast enough. I downloaded RBI 20 on my Switch and it took something like 24 hours. With so many games needing to download updates and patches the second you take them out of the packaging (when you buy the physical disk), It would be 2023 before I ever got to play my first game if I bought a new system now. That's actually one of the things I really like about the Switch. For the most part, you pull a game out of the box and you can play it immediately. The only game I had to do any updates for was NBA 2K and I could still play the game but if I wanted the career and other modes, those had to be downloaded.

That is all true. I'll also add - the ping latency for cell phone internet makes any real time multiplayer games, like call of duty, unplayable.

I don't even care about playing games online, it's all about the constant need for updates on any XBox system that I've had or the recent PS consoles (from my understanding, I haven't had one since PS2). I don't have the patience to wait for days while a stupid game updates before I can even play it for the first stinking time!

My preapproved vacation is towards the end of the year and I was planning to use a big chunk of my PTO towards that. But if everything is still shut down, I'll have to pare that down to just the unbankable PTO. Would rather spread those out over the year rather than taking it all at once if I have to stay at home anyway.

Michael,
It came with God of War, Horizon something and The Last of Us. And, I bought The Show 2020.

I can't wait until tomorrow when it arrives!

I was thinking about this when people at virtual work didn't appreciate my John Scofield music--how many conference calls do you think have been interrupted by the sounds (or worse) of pornography (but not from a troll)?
