Now we need to survive the 7th.

McGreevy pitching into the 7th. He's thrown 83 pitches, given up 3 hits, 1 walk with 6 strikeouts and no runs thus far.

Poor McGreevey. He really deserves better than a 3-7 record. Ooof.
That's on him
You would think a 3.12 ERA would warrant a better record that 3-7. I haven't checked to see what kind of run support he's been getting though.
In Bob Gibson's day if you wanted a W you went nine innings and put up zeroes.
Amen to that. Being an old guy I got to see or hear a lot of the high performance starts.

McGreevy gets 1 out in the 7th but has runners on 1st and 3rd as the Cards go to the pen.

Luis Gastelum making his ML debut and it should have been a strike but the ump called it a ball and Pages did not challenge.

Fly ball gets the Brewers first run home and is the second out in the 7th.

Gastelum gives up a double but then gets the next man and the inning ends with the Cardinals leading 5-1

Don't know why infield coach didn't have Blaze protecting the line
