I lost interest in mad men immediately after the first season, maybe I'm the only one, but Rubicon is outstanding so far.
It is interesting. It's about time they get to the secret that the dude's boss knew that got him killed was.
I originally thought, that job would be awesome. Now, seeing how everything is a secret and everyone gets spied on, no thanks.
Finished season 1 of Breaking Bad last night. It's funny how tough the first few shows were to watch. I've seen violent movie after violent movie, but I always manage to reset. In other words, I don't think I've ever been desensitized by fictional violence. Watching Walter get his hands dirty was just as tough as watching Dexter do his thing the first few episodes of that show, probably tougher.
My biggest complaint is the wife and her family. A little too much caricature, and the wife is too dumb/goofy to respect her character very much. It's a little reminiscent of the Annette Bening/Kevin Spacey relationship in American Beauty. It's not nearly that bad, but I feel like the audience is put in Walter's corner a little too much, without getting adequate exposure to the wife's side of things.
Right now I'm watching Rescue Me. I'm torn because I can't decide if it's good enough to overlook some of the bad. I'm guessing I'll give up before I make it through Season 2.

This past season finale pushed me over the edge. Its a fun show to watch but there are some really awful moments.

What sucks is I really like half of the story lines but the other half are [expletive] ridiculous.

On the whole though, it's a great show so far.
That's a spot-on analysis of it.
I talked a friend of mine into watching it. She watched the first 3 or 4 episodes and had to stop because Walter's misbehavior was so intense that she'd bit right into her lip. The show was so intense for her, she bled.
As for the thing with his wife, I think that's pretty much the only way in which Mad Men is better- there are meatier roles for the women on that show. The few women on Breaking Bad have garbage roles so it doesn't appeal across gender lines.

Awesomeness.
Those are some bad dudes.
It's in the top 3 best shows on TV. The premiere was slow, just setting the tone for the different character's state of mind, but that ending was craziness.

Yeah, Jax took Clay's advice. He's no longer morning, but out for Revenge, yet again.
It'll be interesting to see the Irish SOA clan.
