Also -
Clinton has long supported raising the minimum wage. As a senator, she introduced legislation in 2007 to increase the rate to $9.50, and as first lady, she advocated for the successful 1996 push to boost it to $5.15, according to Correct the Record, a pro-Clinton web site.

Back off. Hillary is ever the champion of the thing her quants tell her it's a reasonable/unrisky time to be a champion of so long as hedges have been adequately placed and donors know the real story.

Any comments about his hands?

GEORGE: Jerry, let me tell you something, "A man without hand is not a man." I got so much hand I'm coming out of my gloves. I got to thank Kramer.

So, minimum of $1.60 in 1969. The most you could ever buy with the minimum wage. Obviously that varies place to place, and what you can buy isn't the same everywhere, but generally it's very good compared to all other minimums since it was instated.
In 2007, when Clinton introduces legislation to raise it to $9.50, that $1.60 was equivalent to $9.04.
Today, $1.60 translates to $10.34. So she supports $12 instead of $15, when $15 is arguably overkill in some areas of the country.
I don't see any reason to paint her as a johnny-come-lately on this.

Still it's kind of hard to watch her pumping her fist there as unhappy-about-this interests pump dollars into her campaign (and, previously, wallet).
One thing I hope this cycle produces is more willingness to take a strong position. I think maybe some day bull [expletive] won't carry the day as it does now. I'm all for compromise and very upset with the right for their refusal to practice it. Additionally, I do think Hillary will compromise. But she only calculatedly believes in anything.

I kind of worry that she isn't electable. I mean she should win against this GOP trainwreck, but you never know anymore - especially with her weak showing in blue states. It's kind of scary to think how the GOP would interpret a win in November. What sort of mandate would they have with this fiasco campaign that has gone completely off the rails to right wing extremism?

If we've learned anything from this stupidity, it is that the pollsters and prognosticators don't know. The process for polling since 2012 has gone AWOL. Only losers get suckered into polls. a chunk of landline use is gone. we don't answer calls on our cellphones from unknown #s. lots of anti-solicitation ordinances -physical and virtual door knockers get the boot in many municipalities.

Trump and Clinton are exactly tied for my least favorite political candidate running, or that has ever ran.

If I asked Hillary what she believes in, she'd either a) tell me America and hope and people or other slippery, fairly meaningless stuff, or b) list a bunch of things that her track record of funding (personal and political) contradicts. Most assuredly, she'd be dying to know what I wanted to hear.
