I think the final episode is what upgraded American Vandal from a very good to great show. It hits all the right notes. I love how Peter, although well intentioned, is correctly called out for being reckless. Dylan is exonerated, but it's kind of an empty victory (the Dylan and Mackenzie doorway conversation was heartbreaking). There's new prime suspects, but we have to accept we'll never know.
I also love how the show captures high school - it can be fun, but also confusing, cruel, stupid and petty. It's just 4 years, but the show notes how it can cast a long shadow over your life.

American Vandal is a great show.
It really was a fun show, I mean hell...I plowed through the season in one night!! (I think it's eight 30 min episodes) The parody aspect of the whole thing was great, w/ the major crime of course being the spray painting of dicks you can't help but laugh w/ the hundreds of times the word "dicks" get's used by everyone in the cast.
My guess was the H.S. president from the get go, and I still think her and the camp counselor were the culprits of the dicks. The whole camp jacking - off computer generated simulation was hilarious, I would lmao every time they went to the simulation.

FYI, don't trust my opinions on stuff like this. I'm not a fan of about 90% of the shows everybody else loves. Still haven't watched a single episode of Game of Thrones either.
I watched the first couple episodes but the fact they are moving it to Thursday evening might get it off my radar. It seems like it is ok for a little escapism; not a special show but it has a few laughs. I did note that Brannon Braga of Star Trek is an executive producer; not sure if that is good or bad. He gets a pretty bad rap from a lot of hardcore Trekkers.
I know it's not always a popular opinion with some but I actually like Seth McFarlane. So far my favorite part of the show is probably the two helmsman and their interactions/comments. And I have laughed at some of the interactions between the Captain and his ex like when they were stalling for time and brought the bad guy into their discussion on relationships. It wasn't hilarious but I enjoyed it.
Anyway, I think it has potential and hopefully it delivers on that potential. I do agree that moving shows around is stupid. Even in this day of DVR (which I don't have anymore but streaming online works as well), I hate it when they just move shows around all the time and then cancel a show because it never had a big following. It was way more of an issue in the past but if you never know when a show is on, how in the heck can you follow it?
I like MacFarlane for the most part...he gets a little stale sometimes but so do most comics. I think the show is going to be ok for sure; and maybe some people will love it. I have had a lot of shows that I thought were great that barely made it a full season though. Not a lot of patience with networks sometimes.
I don't have a DVR either; I used to and I decided to simplify life by switching to Sling and using my digital tuner for local channels. So I guess if I don't watch it when it airs there are hulu, etc but that kind of defeats the points of simplifying my life when it comes to tv.
I agree. I don't even have Sling. If I can't get it over the air with my cheap antennae then I don't watch it these days.
Eventually I'm going to suck it up and crawl back to Charter for Internet and start using my Roku again but for now, I'm still being stubborn and have no home Internet other than my phone. I never should have cancelled the Internet when I got rid of their cable but I was too ticked off at how much I was paying for TV and just got rid of it all. I didn't realize that Charter is my only decent option for Internet at home. I planned on switching to AT&T U-verse for cable and Internet but it turns out now that isn't an option and they only want to sell me DirecTV packages and the Internet I can get is stupid slow even though they offered better options in the past.
I need to just see about using my phone as a hotspot now that I have unlimited Internet. In order to do that, I'll need to find the Roku remote though so I can get it set up.
Actually, thinking about using the Roku again made me realize that ever since I left Project Fi and went to T-Mobile, my hotspot feature hasn't been working. Ugh. Just did a search on Google and got it figured out though. I was able to get online through tethering on both the iPad and Switch while sitting here at my desk. It will be interesting to see what the speeds are like though.
Tuesday, March 15th between 2 and 2:30 p.m. is obviously a time when school would be in session, but so many of the alibis have the kids out of school at that time. At the movies, shopping with mom, CPR training at camp, etc. I thought maybe it could be spring break, but we see other kids on campus, and they threatened to take away off campus lunch at an assembly two days later. It just seems like a school with even the loosest of open campus rules wouldn't have this.

They said it was an inservice day, if you recall the A/V teacher's alibi was that he was running the slideshow during the faculty meeting. To me it's a stretch that basically any kids would be on campus during that day,
but maybe things are a bit different with campuses like that one in CA that are more open air.

I watched the pilot on demand. (It's the only way I get to see a TV show nowadays.)
It was a lot more serious than I thought it would be, and I kinda appreciated that it wasn't a typical Seth MacFarlane crazy, wacky, bonkers, jokefest. Any humor is a compliment to the plotline, but not an integral part. And this is coming from a guy that was a fan of Family Guy from the first episode (though I haven't watched it in years).
I'm going to keep watching. I just hope it doesn't devolve into a lowbrow comedy.
