Redestribution of wealth - that term has been used but isn't entirely accurate, right?
I mean, if you tax the rich more and the poor get the benefit, it's not like the poor are holding that wealth by opening a savings or buying a mutual fund.
The extra cash, they spend it, and it ends up with the rich again, no?

Exactly. If you distribute money to the lower classes, they spend it, it's taxed, and the economy moves.

I have never understood why the rich should haver to pay more percentage wise than anybody else. I am an advocate for a flat tax for everybody.

You guys don't understand. If the lower classes spend, then they're stupid for not saving. If they save, they're bad Americans for not spending and moving the economy.

Map of countries with flat tax systems, just FWIW:
Personally, I don't see why it's a big deal that they do pay more. If I was earning that much money per year, I don't know that I'd be that concerned with a few extra percentage points of tax.

So I'm late to the party, but I wanna make a comment about the "hate and ignorance" comment if Obama is elected..
Why can't you make the same comment about if McCain wins?
I'm sorry, but I wouldn't want to live in a big city tonight if McCain pulls off an upset, and I'm pretty sure you know exactly what I'm talking about..
There's racism, hate, and ignorance on both sides of the fence folks, let's not crucify white people and praise black people here, because there's idiots on both sides

You're right. Let's just give them an Economic Stimulus check, and call it good.

I was wrong. It's not an RNC ad. It's from The National Republican Trust Pac. In the 90 minutes I've been watching the Today show, I've seen it 6 times.

Being late is ok, not carefully reading what was posted and making comments like that is not. Since I started the comment, I ask you to re-read what I posted. Don't read anything into it, don't read your preconceived notions of what an internet poster intentions were, just read it.
