Nice play by Kennedy. Diving stab to his left, cuts down Jones at second from his knees.

There's absolutely nothing to suggest that he'd have a bad season. Not his K rate, walk rate, HR rate, hits per 9 innings, lingering injuries...etc...nothing. I really don't understand the basis of your "feelings". Sounds like it's all based off the fact he hasn't been lights out during ST, which again, is the most worthless practice in terms of season success there is.

I guess Pujols will be bad too this season, considering he doesn't have any ST homeruns. I'm not trying to pick on you, just don't get how you got to that conclusion of Carpenter having an off season, when none of his statistics point to a decline in production.
I think a concern about his health might be valid considering he's been ridden pretty hard in terms of IP per season for the last few years and his injury history, but I don't see why he'd be significantly worse, either. *shrugs* Carp has mentioned after past ST starts that he was working on certain pitches in different starts.

i kinda have a lingering thought that carp is gonna be bad this year...(bad being like...era in the 4s)

its not based on spring training at all...dont assume, you know what it does...i had this thought at the beginning of the year, when we resigned me...(not that i didnt' want them too)...but, yea, hes a year older...these last 3 years have been dynamite, but how much longer can we really expect of that sheer dominance? he's not exactly injury-free (though not injury prone i know)...

i mean, i just said it was a lingering thought...i never said i had like stats or anything

rincon gets out of it
