Interview thread embarassing?

Other than ticket sales we've pretty much killed the revised "Thread Creation" rules but as Fat Strat said earlier we can't codify everything. We're going back to our old thread moving convention.

leroy, you know how much i love ya (as far as internet message boards can go, heh), so dont take this the wrong way....but why do you care, or "think so much" about whether a topic of yours is in social or baseball? i mean, you use your best judgment and if it gets moved, it gets moved...

i guess im "struggling" with trying to understand why posting would cause you so much "deliberation" (i dont know how much time you really spent thinking about it)? and perhaps deliberation is too strong...not trying to figure out yer "emotions"...but since you've ended up not posting something because of a "fear" of getting it moved...i dont get that

That's what I have tried to communicate. I understand though, it's an internet thing that somehow when your posts gets moved/edited/deleted it feels more personal for some reason. Like someone sneaking into your house and rearranging things.

Just know that if a thread is moved it's just bits of data, and nothing personal.

I'm not so sure. I've been walking along the sidewalk and all of a sudden my balance will go all herky-jerky and I'll stumble to my knees, my head in my hands, trying to collect myself. A concerned stranger might ask "sir are you all right? should I get help?"

"I'll be alright.. I think someone just moved one of my threads on the internet... it'll pass.. it'll pass... a few minutes and I'll be good to go.... "

"can I get you some water or something?"

"yeah, thanks, water would be good...."

"everything's gonna be okay, mister."

"will it? can you know that for sure?"

If you were hurt or offended, that was not my intenition, but if you were, maybe you need to take a look at yoursef, because if something an faceless person on an internet forum said really threw you for a loop, you may have other problems. They are only words folks, you choose if they hurt you or if they don't. I am who I am, and can not change it. I will keep posting here unless I am asked to leave, but why would you guys do that?

Take a look at page one of BT and take a look at the threads that are more stat based. It's the minority. The problem is it seems, with some, is one stats based thread is one too many.

Most of the threads have a lot of stats in them, stats I have never even heard of. But if that is what people want to put in their posts, that is fine. I love the game for the play on the field, and the competition.

I just don't see this at all. Take a look at BT right now. How many discussions on the front page are stats discussions? Right now I see 5 topics that are stats-oriented out of 40 topics. And of those 5, most of them are a pretty good mix of stats and the "art" of the game.

See what I mean, sometimes reality and perception are very different. What is the reality can be perceived many different ways, including comments made as a joke.
