Fedor's in Chicago and it's a CBS freebie this Saturday.
Emelianenko, is coming to town -- and coming to your living room via over-the-air TV. He will headline ''Strikeforce/M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Rogers'' at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates. The undercard will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday and the CBS broadcast will begin at 8 p.m. The card includes fights between Jake Shields and Jason ''Mayhem'' Miller for the Strikeforce middleweight title.

Emelianenko was instrumental in the event coming to Chicago.

''We actually had a couple offers to take it to the Atlantic City and the New Jersey area,'' Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said. ''But actually, Fedor and his group wanted to fight in Chicago.''

His opponent Brett Rogers is originally from Chicago, but that didn't stop Emelianenko from wanting to fight here.

''There are a lot of Russian people nowadays in Chicago,'' Emelianenko said through a translator. ''I love to perform for the American people, but also for the Russian people as well.''

And Chicago fight fans are set to turn out for Fedor. Coker estimates 85 percent of the tickets have been sold at the Sears Centre Arena. He expects a sellout by Saturday.

Fedor suddenly looks a lot more vulnerable, but he's always wins. That fight might've been called a bit early, IMO...Not that the wrecking ball swarm Fedor does wasn't coming but Rogers wasn't KO'd.

That punch landed before I saw him throw it. Good lord.

I agree that he looks vulnerable. The same way Anderson Silva looked not sharp before the Griffin demolition. I think Fedor needs a real opponent.

Lesnar is all [expletive] up, apparently:
MANCHESTER, England -- Brock Lesnar will not be back in the UFC anytime soon, according to UFC president Dana White.

Speaking with the media after UFC 105, White indicated the heavyweight champion is very ill and will be out of action for the foreseeable future. He went on to state that an interim title match might need to be set up.

White did little to shed light on the specifics of Lesnar's condition, but he did say that the champion has been hospitalized.

"He's in a hospital up in North Dakota somewhere right now," said White. "He went to Canada and some bad stuff happened to him, so we've got to figure it out.

"He doesn't want to talk about it publicly, but he's in bad shape. He's not well and he's not going to be getting well anytime soon."
Also:
According to Dave Meltzer, Brock Lesnar's health status is way more serious than had been previously reported. Lesnar went to Canada last week for rest, as he is recovering from Mono, and while there collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. There is a major health issue that he is not letting out, but to kill rumors that may pop up, he does NOT have cancer or HIV/AIDS. It is said that Lesnar will not fight for a very long time, if ever again. Dana White will head to Minnesota to meet with Lesnar, and will also try to get him into the Mayo Clinic, or some other top notch medical facility.

The secrecy surrounding the situation makes it seem like theres some sort of stigma attached to whatever the ailment is. Or maybe they don't know what it is yet?

Dana White need to hire a spokesperson. I think he's a smart businessman, but that doesn't translate when he opens his mouth.
