i have nothing more than a surface level analysis but springfield specifically and the texas league in general inflate HR totals and runs in general.

Springfields park factor for HR is 138 for LH/ 148 for RH.

(about early 2000's Coors field)
http://www.vivaelbirdos.com/cardinals-m ... rk-factors

Ramsey has hit a ton of HRs this year.
If that power is for real, then he starts to look good
But it could just be park aided numbers and without the big increase in HR he is a guy hitting 250 with little power (what he was last year)

Case in point
Descalso
jumped from
A- ops 685
AA- 930
AAA-647 first time
AAA 777

Ramsey's numbers could just be inflated like Descalsos and other prospects in AA or....

Of course Ramsey hit well in ball in A this year before being promoted and Palm beach is as much of a pitchers park as springfield is a hitters park. SO there is room for optimism.
I havent seen his HRs to know if they were because of springfield or if they were no doubters

Home run by Jim Adduci of Round Rock leading off the sixth breaks up Wacha's perfect game and no-hitter. #stlcards

He almost lost the perfecto early. Manny Ramierz hit one about as much as you can hit one without it going over the wall on the first pitch he saw from Wacha.

Right, but 23 in short-season ball is not age appropriate necessarily--Petree is 23 and most of his competition is 18-21 year olds taken in the last draft. Developmentally, the difference between a 23 year old and a 19, 20 or 21 year old is big.

Correct, hence I said we need to move him up already.

He's further along in his development like most college guys and needs to be moved up quicker.
