I fail to see who will provide the offense on the 2028 cardinals, but we acquired a [expletive] ton of pitching at least.
IMO our offense is about the same

Gorman can’t be much worse than Arenado; if JJ is as good as advertised, he’ll replace Donny at 2b just fine, and Burly just won a silver slugger and is taking over first.

Now, if we’re saying Arenado, Donovan and Contreras as a whole weren’t great to begin with/we needed more anyways, then I see the point

Really liked watching Gray, Contreras and Donovan play baseball. I guess I still can, technically.

This one says we got TWO comp B picks. One from Seattle and one from TB.

With those two picks I can confidently say the Birds did well.

And met the expected price of a top-100 guy, a second 50, and a 40 or sweetener. At least in equivalent.

How that turns out, we will see, but they got a lot, honestly.

I just saw that as well…
They also picked up two reasonably high draft picks to add a couple more prospects in July. That’ll likely add around $2.5MM to their bonus pool as well.
I’ve never heard of the guy taking over the draft from Flores, but he’s got some good things to work with. That’s now 6 picks we have in the top 86

They did OK overall with the trade, even if I don't think Cijntje pans out. Still won't be able to hit for another three years.

Why are people so low on Cijntje? I don't know squat about him other than he's that switch pitcher who's a back end starter with his right arm and a loogy with his left

Quite the fire sale we are having this off-season eh?
Is it a fire sale or an estate sale?
