Amazon has emailed me twice in the last couple of days telling me I should want to pre-order the following PS3 games. With Father's day coming up, do I?

Based on the purchse of Assasin's Creed, Amazon recommends:
Amazon wrote:Red Faction: Guerrilla
Set 50 years after the climactic events of the original Red Faction, Red Faction: Guerrilla is a third-person shooter that allows players to take the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly reestablished Red Faction guerilla movement on Mars as they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force. Red Faction: Guerrilla redefines the limits of destruction-based gameplay with a huge open-world, fast-paced guerilla-style combat, 16-player online multiplayer and true physics-based destruction.
Releases June 2
Based on the purchse of Fallout 3, Amazon recommends:
Amazon wrote:Dynasy Warriors 6: Empires
This is an action game based in ancient China in which players roam through a battlefield, hack-and-slash enemies, and attempt to conquer China in the process. Players use a variety of weapons (maces, staffs, swords, bladed fans) to dispatch hordes of enemy officers, tigers, and wolves.
Releases June 23
Frankly, Red Faction Guerrilla looks more promising to me, but wondered which, or if, you guys might be anticipating?

I don't see how Red Faction and Assassin's Creed are related at all, but I'm going to be renting Red Faction. I loved the first one. The second one was ok but they messed with the controls a bit too much and I didn't like aiming. The previews on this one look pretty fun.

I played one Dynasty Warriors way back when and was bored to tears. It has a following but I don't get it. Pretty graphics, though.

edit: well, I just realized Red Faction is a 3rd person game now instead of a FPS, but it's still basically a shooter where you go around and blow stuff up real good. It's gameplay mechanics are not similar to Assassin's Creed other than both being 3rd person.

I guess Red Faction has potential, but I'd wait for the reviews. Do not buy Dynasy Warriors 6: Empires.... yeesh.

The Dynasty Warriors spin-offs are never as good as the hack and slash zaniness of the originals.

By the way, I found a really good site for game deals that's never linked on price search engines. It's called gameroomdeals.com. The guy who runs the site, is quick and reliable. I highly recommend using
