I'm at a super hoidy toidy new steak n seafood joint just opening. I don't know if I can bartend there long. I have wanted to punch about 10 doucher millionaire asses or wives and its only been a week. Guess I'm more of a pub guy all along.

Clayton had decent food for a while. Appeal was to the clayton crowd which will move to the next shiny object. Restaurants attached to a celebrity name almost always crap out within 10nyears. I think everybody that does a celeb name restaurant knows this and has exit plan. They had a decent ru

First thing from Southern I didn't like: chicken biscuit was a mess. Too crumbly. And the white beans were so so.

Went to Byrd & Barrel and got the chicken po' boy. Messy to eat but pretty good. Also sampled a bite of the Mother Clucker. Thought it was pretty good.
Good tots.
No tea/sweet tea though....that's really weird.
Menu is missing a straight up buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich. Also a very small place. Maybe sacrifice some of that bar area for more tables. That area might have more payday loan/check cashing businesses than any other place in STL.

I thought the mac and cheese was terrible, but the chicken (3 pc white, mild) was insane.
Get a chicken biscuit at Sugarfire.
