i really enjoyed the mandalorian. watched it over 2 days this break, may watch it one more time. felt like a space western, which is what i think they were going for. fun to see some different creatures, some familiar ones, same with locations. loved seeing amy sedaris, even in a small part, and bill burr is funny. i became a fan of gina carano...she may be most believable female action star i've seen, outside of like, linda hamilton. i hesitate to even bring gender into it, she was just a cool, badass character, i believed her (i'm reminded at how awful what's her name is at acting...ronda). werner herzog is good as a creepy imperial commander and nick nolte provides a good voice to kuiil. and man, is anybody better than taika waititi for voicing some CGI character? baby yoda stuff is cute and funny but also almost so "disney manufactured" it can be hard to take seriously but i suppose harmless. don't think i'd seen any pedro pascal performances before but he does a great job as the quiet/stoic, honorable (for a bounty hunter) hero role.

The book was fantastic....

I'm running through Bojack Horseman now, and it's superb. Hilarious but also poignant. Looks like the series finale drops January 31.

I know a lot here watch everything HBO series/mini series; anyone catch the season premier of The Outsider last night? (actually showed the first 2 episodes).

I've actually never read (or even heard) of this Steven King book before, so am kind of excited.

Plus anything with Ben Mendelsohn in it, I'm gonna like (and throw in Jason Bateman).

Definitely trying to play up their true detective type vibe they've had so much success with...plus of course, the supernatural-whatever, that something by Steven king with employ. I watched both episodes in a row and was thoroughly impressed.

I'm finally watching Broad City on Hulu and it's great. Ilana Glazer is a revelation.
