Yeah I like what the timbers did. Frankencooper is a top 5 MLS striker. Had some bad luck with injuries as a kid at Manchester United, tore it up at Dallas and more bad luck at 1860 Munich. He's a good get, but they should have kept Dax McCarty when they got him in the expansion draft. Rodney Wallace is an ok defender but Dax is a great young holding midfielder to base the spine of your team on. Good keeper, good strikers but suspect midfield and defenders.

That's why you have a defender on the near post.

Or just pay attention to the ball.

Can't embed, but the video is in this link: http://www.noshortcorners.com/

Just filthy, Wayne Rooney. Filthier than one of his Liverpool hookers.

Chelsea-Fulham yesterday, anybody see it?
Such typical American play out of Demspey. Played really well, lots of chances, earned the PK in stoppage, and then... blows it!

Apparently something broke down with some ace midfielder from South America somewhere, which was supposed to make us forget about Dax McCarty. But now we have Sal Zizzo, and while 'Dax' is a good name 'Dax McCarty' can't hold a candle to the name 'Sal Zizzo.' So in a way it's a victory, but I think Portland probably screwed this one up. But we have sold 11,000 of 12,000 season tickets. (Not to me yet, though.)

Excitement is getting pretty high around here. I'm pretty excited myself.
