My 4 year old had me up from 2 until 3:30 last night after she had a bad dream and was terrified to be alone.heyzeus wrote:Life is bad.

i remember a few times when i was a young kid and i'd get scared. i'd go into my folks room and ask if i could stay in there and they were like "ok, you can lay on the floor"...RIGHT NEXT TO THE TERRIFYING VOID OF UNDER THE BED WHERE MOST MONSTERS LIVE.

Re: Forever awake
I had night terrors as a Kid, any time my girls come in and are scared, I either put them in bed with us, or take them back to their bed and stay with them until they are back asleep. I remember those night terrors, I never want my girls to have that kind of fear.Jocephus wrote:i remember a few times when i was a young kid and i'd get scared. i'd go into my folks room and ask if i could stay in there and they were like "ok, you can lay on the floor"...RIGHT NEXT TO THE TERRIFYING VOID OF UNDER THE BED WHERE MOST MONSTERS LIVE.

Re: Forever awake
I have been under the weather a bit. I took some nyquil last night and fell asleep around 7:30pm and woke up at 6am this morning.
I feel pretty good today.

http://www.today.com/health/should-your ... ers-t61266A recent study finds that sleeping with pets actually helps some people sleep better because it gives them a sense of security — and despite what sleep experts have said for years, pets don't really disrupt our sleep.

Re: Forever awake
My baby did sleep at night. But only after a couple of months and only for a little while.
But during the day?
Required that you hold her in a very specific position during the day or there would be screaming. And she could tell if you leaned on the wall/sofa/another person and would scream if you did.
Lay her down for a nap. Stand over her til you could hear sleep breathing. Quietly turn and tiptoe away. Break the 42 inch distance barrier from her. Screaming like a [expletive].
How did she do that? How did she know?
Here was the real mystery. Discovered accidentally that a certain music played while in the windup swing would result in quiet baby. My god, a lifesaving revelation. We could relax for a bit.
Mother, who was even more stressed out by baby than me, one day decided she didn't like the swing in the living room and got rid of it.
Some people need stress apparently.
