Oden chooses the Heat. If any Miami Heat fans somehow stumbled in here: Greg Oden is a basketball player known for his size.

Oden doesn't really add anything. He may be a center but he's rarely healthy. Hibbert and the other big men are gonna have their way with Oden in the paint.

I'm sure Hibbert would rather keep backing down Joel Anthony and Birdman. Oden will be a force if he can get on the floor.
I promise to never, ever call the RG 'Moda Center.'

Re: 2013-2014 NBA Season
I backed out of my ST share this year, mainly because my partner (my youngest son) is just too busy at school. He is running x-country and track this year and it was hard enough to find time for him last year. I actually got a call from the Bulls this year - my name actually got picked for ST - so I could have bought my own this year.
One thing I learned about having ST's was that for a good portion of your games you are actually paying more than they are worth, even though you are paying less than face value single tix. I had a Friday night game I had to sale against Golden State, I ended up selling them for $5 under my face which was $30 under what you would get through the team for much worse seats. But, where you get payback, is like the Miami game in March where my $55 were going from 3x that. You couldn't get in the building for under $100 that night, including standing room.
But now that I've had some marquis games I'll go for some mid-tier games and pounce on some tix the day of or before the game.
The thing I'll miss is you get to know people around you, but I can always go up and say hi.
Of course this will be the year they win it all and I would have been able to get playoff shares and sell them for massive profits.

About time they got rid of 2-3-2.
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/97443 ... at-sourcesThe NBA is expected to make a major change to its traditional Finals schedule, ending the 2-3-2 format and returning to the 2-2-1-1-1 game rotation used in all other playoff rounds, multiple sources told ESPN.com.
The league's competition committee has voted to recommend the change to the league's board of directors. It is expected to be adopted at the next meeting in October and could be implemented for the 2014 Finals, the sources said.

Derrick Rose is going to play in a competitive game of professional basketball tonight. WGN showing it. I will be tivoing gleefully. Danny Granger as well. Should be an interesting game - the Pacers might be really good this year.

How fun was that [expletive]? His finishing touch is a little rusty but he's as explosive as ever. Oden getting to play in Indy several times a year will make him happy. The Pacers having Hibbert and Mahinmi (I looked him up) had a lot to do with Oden not ending up playing for Indianapolis.
