I'm a vikings fan and that call was a total gift to the vikings. I think cousins was leaving the ground on his own accord. He was heaving the ball about as hard as he could while trying to brace for impact. His feet are essentially off the ground before Mathews touches him. I'm not sure how Mathews could have tackled him differently without risking Cousins slipping out if he had actually tucked the ball.

In semi-related news that should surprise no one, the Vikings released their kicker today.

Protecting players is really important. So, that call should be able to be overturned.

Gordon to the Patriots.

He's going to end up leading the league in yards and TD.

Assuming the Patriots have an equipment manager ready to switch drug tests.

Haha..... very nice.

Things could get interesting if Gordon gets to play by a different set of rules than the rest of the team (show up to practice late, etc.). The Pats are always on the verge of implosion. This could be enough to ignite the fuse.

These things don’t always work out for the Pats. Albert Haynesworth and Ochocinco.

Browns and Mayfield look for real. Darnold is a destitute man’s Favre.

The Chiefs offense is pretty good.

If Andy Reid would remember that there are 4 quarters in a game and not just 2, we might have something.
