Thanks folks. Very tough day for my daughter. It is part of Life. I tell her how we adopted this unwanted dog, saved its life in effect, and had years of fun together. Still, a kick in the gut. Hope the 12 yo Big Galoot sticks around for a while.

Very sorry to hear this, Freed. Our pets are a big part of our lives and it's really hard to say goodbye. You did a good job of explaining things to your daughter.
