Did anyone watch the season finale of Archer?
I thought they handled the passing of Jessica Walters (i.e., what do we do with her character??) really, really well.
I also hope it isn't the series finale, but if it is, I think I'm ok with where they left it.

Anyone watching Squid Game? I'm on ep 3 so far. It's compelling stuff. Like a Running Man episode of Black Mirror.

The stuff I don't know about South Korean culture and film would fill an encyclopedia, but it's interesting watching this not terribly long after Parasite. They have a lot of similar themes. The obliviousness of the wealthy to the plight of the working poor, the prison of debt, living conditions in the cities, the feeling of despair and hopelessness with poverty, the surveillance/police state. It's interesting, and it's pretty powerful.MrCrowesGarden wrote: ↑October 27 21, 12:24 pmI loved it. Anti-capitalist narratives are my jam. Episode 6 will break your heart.

This series is great, it's a return to the form of the OJ Simpson season five years ago. There are two episodes left.

One of my best friends, who I've known since kindergarten in St. Louis, is in this show. He plays the journalist Michael Isikoff, who was working on the Lewinsky story when it got killed by his bosses, then scooped by Drudge.AdmiralKird wrote: ↑October 28 21, 12:33 pmThis series is great, it's a return to the form of the OJ Simpson season five years ago.
