I really enjoyed the latest iteration of "Justified".

Now I need to catch up on the new (and final) season of "Archer".

The problem with Severance was it wasn’t a movie starring Jon Hamm.

This has been corrected. There’s a trailer and everything. If a single person who saw the show watched that trailer without thinking of it I’ll eat my Geico Cavemen the Series t shirt.
I haven't seen the movie, but what's crazy to me is that Corner Office premiered at Tribeca 2 months after the Severance S1 finale aired.

This guy posts a set every week with some in the news stuff mixed in. He is or was a Daily Show writer so maybe that's how he was keeping his juices flowing during the strike.

Always good to great, but this week was dynamite. Jada and Will and Tupac. Testicle on the subway. White woman with a gun at the police station.

Speaking of The Daily Show, has anyone watched it since it restarted this past Monday?

Between Roy Wood Jr. leaving and the show continuing with the rotating guest hosts, I am non-plussed about its return and have not watched it yet... and am uninspired to return to it. Am I missing anything?

Slow Horses on AppleTV is really good, especially if you like John LeCarre style spy stuff. At least the first season, which is where I am. Gary Oldman plays a gross old washed-out MI-5 agent in charge of a bunch of agency rejects, but of course most of the rejects are actually pretty good. Just cast out for various reasons. MI-5 itself is more like a villain, which is the best kind of spy plot.

Very plot-heavy and a little pulpy, but good characters and twisty without being annoying.

First show in a while I've wanted to binge and have to stop myself.

Did anyone watch "Hijack" with Idris Elba on Apple TV?

I thought it was pretty good. Reminded me a little of that suspense show on Fox about the serial killer who was obsessed with Poe that starred Kevin Bacon.

"Hijack" left enough threads dangling that they could come back with another season, though I could also see them saying "let's leave well enough alone".

i think jost and che *can* be funny but generally regard their run as weekend update hosts as pretty masturbatory

Thanks Cards.

I tend to agree, Josephus, or at least I don’t think they’re great either. What’s funny is this is best thing they do, but generally I find them to lack chemistry and I don’t think either is especially well suited for the job. I actually like the idea of what Update has become, these guys are just a little too rigid and wed to the cards.

This bit had me crying though.
