I've heard all the hype lately, but didn't watch it.
Rap is too awful to get me interested in anything.
Ali rapped yes, but he wasn't the first.

Come on, anyone watch Boxing after Dark saturday?
You'll missed first a great fight, and 2nd an incredible one punch(not even a clean landing punch) knockout.
Miranda has a little bit of power.

To paraphrase Max Kellerman, WOW!!!

I knew Miranda was good, but good lord. The punch looked like a glancing blow on the top of the head and Gibbs (a very good boxer in his own right) looked like he had gotten hit with a ton of bricks. I really, really want to see his rematch with Abraham.

While I commend Litzau for trying to finish off the guy he thoroughly dominated for 7+ rounds, he'd still be undefeated if he had listened to his corner. Great fight nonetheless.

Also, "The Love Child" seems to be on his way back to the top.

I can't wait for boxing in 2007.

I see you too are one of Dan Rafael's Freaks.
Litzau was an idiot for slugging it out at that point.
Just a note, Litzau is a local Twin Cities fighterm and they didn't even do a writeup about the fight in the Star Tribune, the largest local paper. Just poor sport fans up here in MN.

Rafeal is the man, and he coined the Nickname "the Love Child" for Julio.
Those that frequent his Friday afternoon chats are dubbed the Freaks.

LMAO...Klitschko won over the weekend by second round KO without throwing a single right hand. The heavyweight division is pathetic.

How did Austin even become a #1 contender?

I like Klitchko and think he's the real deal. There are some good heavy's, but Austin isn't one of them. The Klitchko Bros., Peter, and Maskeav are good. It's the putrid sanctioning organzations that make worthless fighters mandatories. There are good fighters, but the organazations keep them from fighting one another. It's the same in all divisions.

I agree that Klitschko is the real deal, he probably has the best right cross in the entire sport. I just find it ridiculous that a so-called #1 contender can get thoroughly dominated by ONE hand. Fights like the one Saturday is what's wrong with the sport. Sure, Austin was undefeated in his last 15 (or so) fights, but four of them were draws, against other crappy fighters. So four draws is worthy of the IBF giving him the #1 ranking? And people wonder why boxing is a dying sport.

To your point about there being some good heavy's, the ones you named are it. Any division that has the likes of Valuev, Rahman, Toney, Ruiz and Byrd still ranked among the top tier fighters is pathetic. I can think of at least ten good boxers in most other divisions, I can't in HW.
