Lately my modem doesn't seem to connect at the highest possible speed by itself. But if I go to its configuration page and reset it, it will reconnect at the top speed. Have you tried that? it can be amusing...through my xbox i can get certain espn content (because of a deal with att no less). so i was watching the cards game (this tuesday i believe it was) and the video and audio kept switching from 1 bar to 2 bars the entire time. i dont mind if its at 1 bar, but just stay at 1 bar 'cause obviously it can't handle 2 bars so dont make me wait for it to buffer and then have it go back to 1 bar 40 seconds later. but what makes it funny is that is completely destroys the audio so the commentators (sutcliffe, boone and some other guy) their voice would basically go up, like they were huffin on helium...it was especially enjoyable when tim kurkjian would come into say something, it got really high.
i know i should call in but im just dreading it...they are gonna give me all these bs things to do like "unplug the modem, then it will work!"...i [expletive] hate corporate call centers
