in fairness to Tebow and other rookie QBs, Blaine Gabbert hasn't exactly looked Divine.

Hell, Sam Bradford hasn't been significantly better than Tebow.

That is possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever read here and I'm not even suggesting that Bradford is all that good.

The People have spoken:
Per poll on this page 41% think Tebow will be a rousing success in NFL. another 30% say a serviceable starter.

I signed the petition, and I'm not even a Lions fan.

Oh my. Dear Jen, you know why people don't make fun of Muslims who bow toward Mecca after every touchdown? Because Muslims don't generally cross sports and religion.

There are plenty of very devout Christians who are not hated. Kurt Warner chief among them.

I don't even hate Tebow. But I hate this stupid idea that he's being discriminated against because of his faith. I don't think people even hate Tebow as much as they hate fervent Tebow supporters.

If you're going to make a statement like that, then I'd be interested in hearing more. Have you looked at Bradford's numbers?

The NFL needs advanced metrics. Until then I'll go with what football people say and what I see. And like I implied, Bradford has a lot to prove.

They really do. I'm surprised that they haven't developed something better.
