Dude, Gruden was never going to be the coach at TN. I think his name gets attached to every NFL and decent college job because fans are nuts. John Daly begged him to come to Arkansas. Then, went on the radio and said he was doing everything he could to get him there. Lots of noise doesn't change the fact there was a 0% chance of him being hired.

I thought Strong would have been an excellent hire for any team, but if he wants to stay at Papa Johns Stadium (which is awesome, btw, because they sell beer), then he does. $$ isn't going to change it.

Gundy came out and said flat out he and the AD don't see eye to eye on everything, but his relationship with the AD is good and he in no way wants to leave. He was rumored to have taken the Arkansas job and it was being reported by some media types he had. He's all over the place. But, I don't think he's leaving his alma mater funded by T. Boone and a new, bad ass stadium.

Butch Jones was likely the best guy they could get. That's not to say Dave Hart isn't an idiot.

Yeah, Arkansas hired: Gary Patterson, Les Miles, Jon Gruden, Bill Cowher, um, Gundy, um I think those were the only confirmed ones.

Jacksonville is a trainwreck in its own right
Tucker’s defense has been one of the worst in the NFL this season. Probably because his personnel isn’t very good, though. Would still prefer him over Childress obviously

Although that roster is a disaster, and it’s tough to keep points off the board when Yo Gabbert Gabbert gives it away 3 times a game.

His defenses have been pretty decent over the course of his career though, despite the lack of good players in Cleveland and J-ville.

And the whole “coached under Saban and Tressel” thing would seem to help, as much as I dislike those guys.
