Other than that, the games are more than enough to keep me interested. This was the first time I had heard of his gf.

I don't know. Maybe Te'o got to a point where he was insisting on meeting her, and there was no "her" to meet, so they had to bail out. Maybe they weren't able to dupe him any longer, so they just ended the whole thing. Maybe they got scared, and realized that they were breaking a law. I have no idea.

Was this really right before the huge payday? This realationship was months and months ago. Te'o's huge payday probably is still months and months away.

As more information comes out, it's completely justifiable to do this. Just in the last 12 hours, a ton more stuff has come out. So of course people are going to say one thing a few pages before and possibly shift their opinion a few pages and hours later. It doesn't mean someone's speaking out of both sides of their mouth or defending differing points of view.

Uh, yeah, when girls do that, they usually don't fake a death though. Actually, it happens to like 99.99% of all pro athletes I'd guess and as far as I know, all of them are real up until now and none of them have fake died.

I'm trying to tell you that the exact same thing happened to a guy that I work with. When he refused to send her money without meeting her, she disappeared.
