The last Cardinals rookie to strikeout 11 batters in a game was Rick Ankiel on Sept. 13, 2000. One of his four 11 K games in 2000.

A search for consecutive batters retired yielded nothing, but I did remember Jason Motte's streak. 32. I also recall Lee Smith pitching a "reliever's perfect game" back in the day. Still doesn't seem fair to compare them to starters, though.
