I'm listening to yesterday's Boers and Bernstein right now.
Wow. Hahaha
First, Joe Maddon is annoyingly enthusiastic. It's genuine and he's way cooler than 99% of managers. Doesn't take himself as seriously as the managers we seem to hire do, but yeah, certain members of the media clearly have ties to Jed, Theo and the Ricketts and are clearly VERRRRRY giddy about Maddon.
I don't blame them one bit and I'd be just as in the tank if I were in their shoes. But man, it's pretty gross at the moment.

Bernstein is your classic Northshore douchebag, I haven't listened to his smug act in many years but I can imagine that's pretty bad.

Still think the Cubs are division champions with/without Maddon.

On one hand, I totally get the enthusiasm Cubs fans have. I'd be thrilled, too, if I had that much payroll, that much young talent, Theo running the show and Maddon managing.
But I do not envy you one bit. That has to be completely insufferable.
Especially when they throw in that God awful "Go Cubs Go" song.

His interview disgusted me, especially the parts about chicago, nothing makes those people more smug than talking about their downtown and wrigley field. Just don't pay attention to the 500 murders that happen there a year

Not a northside problem. One burglary up there and every news station is out there with OH MY GOD WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR CITY.

Huh? They're not getting public money. That was decided like 2 years ago.

Cardinals hire Joe Maddon: greatest hire in the history of the world.
Cubs hire Joe Maddon: Cubs are liars and scumbags of the world. Managers are devalued and Maddon is vastly overrated.
