I'll wager that Mike's team wouldn't have lost in the first round to Norfolk. But there is no point in disagreeing at this point.

Arkansas is essentially playing 3 or 4 guards at a time now, leads the conference in PPG and is 5th in 3 pointers made.

Kyle O'Quinn would've scored 40 points if Anderson tried pressing that day. Their size was unreal.

Mike’s the best coach we’ve had since Nolan obviously, but we really f’d up when we didn’t hire Bill Self. He wanted out of Illinois but our President felt that we had to hire an African American with Nolan’s pending lawsuit. Hence the Stan Heath Era of mediocrity.

I don't think anyone's calling him a bad coach, although not too many mizzou fans were that upset when he left. It was kind of expected. And I think we saw it as an opportunity to upgrade. The piscotty trade of coaching changes, if you will. Haith obviously turned out to not be that, but I think he did a great job with that particular team. Kind of hard to argue for anyone doing better than the national coach of the year.

I think what snayke was originally getting at was (at least back then) you could pencil them in for at least 5-7 losses just from stubbornly sticking with the press against a team that clearly can handle it, getting shredded by layups/free throws/foul trouble. It's certainly possible he's learned and grown as a coach to vary the pace and manage games better, I just haven't paid enough attention to know.

I’m looking at Mizzou’s schedule and there’s an opportunity to really start well. Better team than SC so I think they’ll win in Cola, SC. Then home v UF and UGA. I suspect Mizzou will lose at Arkansas (but return the favor when Arkansas goes to CoMo) and then home for UT. 4-1 seems doable.
