I’d pay saad what Schwartz just got. Makes sense that he would ask for 6, maybe we can give him a nickel more than Schwartz.
I think this is about right.
Saad is younger and better than Schwartz. I think it’ll take every bit of 6 per to land him
I have a feeling army isn’t doing anything till the tarasenko situation is settled

I know Hoffman wasn’t the best fit, but $4.5m for 25-30 goals is a good deal. I’d have taken him back at that price.
And yeah, the blues just HAVE to get saad now. HAVE.
They have the cap space even w tank

Maybe we can get him for 5 years then, or maybe $5.6 over 6

I think it'll be 6 or 6.5 for Saad.

You know we can sign Saad for the extra mil more than Schwartz got, and to make up the difference we can dump Sanford
Just saying (I dont want Sanford lol)

I’m guessing we’ll end up with someone like Tatar
A year older than Schwartz and 2 than Saad, but at 30 and coming off a down year, will be cheaper and less term

Yeesh, be nice to have fabbri right about now.
I guess tartar would be fine if you can do something affordable. Not ideal, but fine. If 30 points in 50 games (49p pace) is a down year, then that’s probably enough offense. We need at least one left winger, two if we don’t want to force schenn to play the wing. (Buch says he prefers the right side) what is tartar like defensively?
Maybe if the price is right for a guy like him, it allows the blues to make him a 3rd liner if you can find a move later.

Excellent! $4.5 for a support scoring line player works!
Whew, we at least theoretically have a legit top6 with schenn and saad on lw, ror and Thomas at c and buch and Perron on rw.
