Woah; apparently we offered multiple 1st round picks for Robertson but he said no/no interest in coming here
(He turned down SEA also, so don’t feel too bad)
Let me guess…FLA and Vegas is where he wants to go lol

Yeah, glad to see they are being aggressive on high end players like Robertson but dang the blues love them some left wingers.
Should be an interesting day.

I wonder if they would have traded off someone if this had happened. As JC said... that's... a lot of LWers.

I think the Blues should make an aggressive play on Nikishin. That would give you Broberg / Nikishin / Fowler on LD for a while (assuming you can get Nikishin signed - he's an RFA). And you still have decent 1st round picks to attempt to shore up the RD side.

Robertson rejected a 8 x $15MM deal with the Kraken for a sign-and-trade deal. Yikes. Kinda glad he has no interest in coming here.

Rumor is our offer for McTavish is the 11th pick; if that’s the case I’d rather just use the pick, as I think the player that falls to 11 will be better than McTavish has shown to be.

Agreed. I’d be okay with 15 or 16 if mct is really who they want, but 11 makes me nervous. (Plus if someone is there at 7/8, it’s a lot easier to trade there from 11 than 15.cardsfantx wrote: ↑June 26 26, 8:40 amRumor is our offer for McTavish is the 11th pick; if that’s the case I’d rather just use the pick, as I think the player that falls to 11 will be better than McTavish has shown to be.

agreed...we always talk about RHD, but on LHD we obv have broberg; but fowlers getting up there in age, and then it's tucker (we obv do have a ton in the farm that's LHD, highlighted by Lindstein; RHD just has Adam and nothing else really)Popeye_Card wrote: ↑June 26 26, 7:02 amI think the Blues should make an aggressive play on Nikishin. But, it looks like if a Helly trade comes to fruition, he's part of the package presented back to the Jets...
if the Jets balk/refuse, I'd give CAR binny and the 29th for himNHL insider Frank Seravalli reported Thursday afternoon that the Carolina Hurricanes have made a formal offer to the Winnipeg Jets for three-time Vezina Trophy winner and Olympic gold medalist Connor Hellebuyck, marking the first official bid for one of the most decorated goaltenders in the game.
According to sources cited by Seravalli, the offer is believed to include a first-round pick along with pending restricted free agent defenseman Alexander Nikishin, a 24-year-old who carved out a role as a solid bottom-pairing defenseman on Carolina's championship roster this past season.

Re: Blues Off-season and 2026-27 Season
I think I can talk myself into a mctavish trade even at 11, if we maybe get a 2nd or something back. Might regret it in a couple of years haha. I’ll just convince myself that the blues thought they could get their guy at 15.
Man had we just lost like 1-2 more games lol smh.
