Edwards is hitting .250 but he has a .412 OBP and has hit 2 home runs.
Mitchell is hitting .350 with a .409 OBP.
Tommy Pham is still struggleing a bit at .238 and Wil Pujols is hitting .161.

Eddie Degerman has a 3.00 ERA and looks to have found his control. In 15 innings of work he has allowed only 8 hits and 2 walks while striking out 27.

Degerman could be a stud if he maintains his control. Edwards should be up with QC soon.

Philly have you read something that has then sending Edwards to QC? I thought the reason he and Pham were in extended spring was to give them some AB's while they wait for the short season teams to start up. I figured Edwards was going to batavia.

That's what I like to see, Degerman.

Edwards hit .266/.360/.821 at JC last year with 4 HR and 27 RBI in 48 games. I read somthing a week or 2 ago that the Cards wanted to send him up to QC from EST and skip short season. I will dig it up cardfanfla. I didnt see anything about Pham. It does makes sense what you are saying though. You would think they dont want to rush either of them...

You don't have to gid it up. That sounds pretty good. I just hadn't heard anything. Thanks.

I think we both agree FLA that this guy is a big part of the Cards future so you gotta hope the Cards dont rush him.

Getting Edwards at 14 and Pham at 16 and getting them both signed was a great job by the Cards. The delay between rounds really gives teams the chance to contact these guys and see what the chances of signing them are.
