are three of only four 20 year olds in the Texas League. Nick Adenhart is the other one. I thought this deserved its own thread. 20 year olds who have success in AA are very rare and if these guys finish like they've started they could be some of the best prospects in baseball.

I wasn't aware that 20 year olds were scarce in that league. That's pretty damn impressive.

There aren't many 21 year olds either. Chris Perez is one of six. So the Springfield Cardinals have 4 of the 10 youngest players in that league. Awesome.

And if things continue, none of them will have to repeat AA.
There's a fair chance that one or two of them won't even see much time at AAA.

20 year olds in any AA league is rare, the Texas League gets a lot of young pitchers, but not too many position players (cough: Daric Barton)

Yes. Anderson and Rasmus are the only position players under 22 in the TL.

At this time of year they're pretty rare. Around July there are usually quite of few new ones.
