Springfield lost 11-6 to Arkansas. Jose Garcia had to make a spot start today due to a double header a few days ago. He gave up 3 runs over 5 innings. After a very impressive start, Matt Scherer has now had 3 rough outings in a row. He gave up 4 runs over 2/3 of an inning. Nick Webber was promoted from Palm Beach, but followed the precedent set by Mike Cooper and Jason Motte, the other pitchers who have been promoted this year, and had a rough outing. Colby Rasmus was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. Bryan Anderson was 2 for 4 with a walk. Sean Danielson, who had been pushed to the bench by Juan Encarnacion’s rehab, was 4 for 4. Box Log

Palm Beach lost 4-2 to Sarasota in eleven innings. Gary Daley gave up two runs over 7 innings. Although he’s only had 5 starts so far, he’s been the second best starter in Palm Beach after Tyler Norrick. Luke Gregerson pitched two scoreless innings. Maybe he's going to have more power than anyone thought. Could you imagine if just 10 of those turned into hr's next year? We're looking at a 30+ hr guy if that's the case.

I would be he hits one to the track atleast every other games it seems like

Colby's up to .277/.348/.535. A .250+ ISO for the 3rd youngest player in the league. He's a pretty good prospect.

Anderson's at .282/.354/.479. An .800+ OPS for the youngest player in the league. Also a pretty good prospect.

As bad as the big team has been if these guys finish where they're at now, it will make my year.

2007 is such a key year for this franchise with so many of our key youngsters in AA. I think how this season unfolds will have a significant impact on what WJ does this offseason.

It was good to see Hawksworth have his second good start in a row. Maybe Hawk is coming into his own at AAA. Looking at his stats hes only allowed 1HR in 32 innings and only walked 7 to 17 Ks. His era is at 3.90
