Rant: water well

Digging a water well on some property we bought. Down 600 feet and coming up dry so far. Some wells are as deep as 1000 feet here but still excruciating.

No [expletive] - the guy pulled a dowsing stick out to 'confirm' his preffered location. I smiled at the time. But maybe...

He's well recommended (did you see what I did there?), sits on the state well drillers board, and drilled our 1/4 mile away neighbor five years ago finding water 250 feet down.

We're just coming up snake eyes so far.
