Kia Boys - the return

After being stolen in 2022 at the height of the Kia Boys times, a steering lock has been my Kia Soul's ever present companion, and enough deterrent to put off any thieves. Not last night, though!

At the Heavy Anchor for a little more than 2 hours, I left at 9:30 to see they'd smashed my rear passenger side window, broken the steering column and gone through the glove compartment. Nothing lost because I leave nothing in the car, and they must have been disturbed at some point as I was able to drive it home, but...well, that's at the very least a thousand dollars, and almost certainly more.

Ever feel thoroughly worn out by life? It's been an all-timer of a rotten holiday season, and this is the cherry on top. Man, I am tired.

@Schlich had a run-in with these guys a few years back too.

And last night, some thieves were presumably disturbed after just tearing the door handle off.

I would like literally any other car. The sheer mental weight of not feeling safe leaving it literally anywhere (this was in the car port behind my house) is really taking its toll on me

Trade it in somewhere far enough away from St Louis where you won't get a St Louis price for it.
