Just got done watching the SI commemerative edition for the first time.

So amazing

Taguchis HR off Wagner (always forget this one)
Reyes start in game 1
Yadi's homerun in game 7
Spiezios clutchness
Beltran's strike 3

Awesome!

Can't wait for 07...

Personally I don't really care either...I kind of forget the fact that I'm standing during the game...

But my dad and I go to most of the games we get to a year (we are 330 miles from Busch) together and he hates standing...we get two "4" packs (now 5 packs) a year and travel down to about 12-15 games a year...the last two years have been the first two years we've had SRO's and only for opening day...usually we just overpay scalpers and get seats but for opening day we figured we'd stand again..

You don't have to overpay scalpers. If you can miss the first half inning, after that, there are tons of them looking to get rid of their tickets, some for below face value. Keep that in mind. Once the game starts, they're just looking to at least make face value from the tickets they have. Hell, I bought tickets from a scalper once after the first inning that he sold to me for half price. The guy would rather make something than to just trash the tickets.

Of course, I'd rather sit, but that's all I could get. It will be my first time at Busch stadium. This is the first time since 2001 that I have even been in STL. I'm also going with my Dad and he's not to happy to be standing either, but he said he would suck it up for just this one time.

That's what my dad says too....my mom's ragging on him because he complained so much last year about standing for so long (we got there when the gates opened so we would get a good spot....so.....he stood for roughly 6-7 hours...that's rough for him) and now he's mad at me that I spilled the beans that all we had was SRO's

Johnny....we usually like to have tickets in hand before we even leave the house because we don't want to drive the 5 - 5.5 hours without tickets...so when I say overpaying scalpers I mean ebay, stub-hub, etc. The only time we've ever considered driving down without a ticket and scalping was for game 7 of the NLCS in 2004 against the Astros and my dad chickened out...I'm still SO pissed at him for chickening out because during the whole game all he kept saying was "we coulda been there...we coulda been there.."
