Petit is of similar value to Jaime Garcia. No thanks.

There is such a dearth of relief pitchers, much less closers.

The Marlins had an expendable stater and a need,, the diamondbacks were looking to move Julio.

Value is a function of need.

I don't see how the Marlins had an expendable starter, with Mitre in line for the fifth spot (career 6.01 era).

The Marlins should prepare themselves for some backbreaking home runs late in games.

Is it me, or does Julio remind anybody else of Esteban Yan from a couple of years ago?

Yeah, that's really surprising.

Good comparison, too, by the way.
