Not a pretty game. Fortunately there's another 161 games.

The Cards definitely hurt themselves with some poor execution.

The squeeze, numerous plays in the field, some baserunning choices, some AB approaches, some pitching woes...it was a complete loss tonight.

Mets played much, much better in pretty much every way.

Not a pretty game at all. Game was actually closer than the score allows you to believe. Didn't hit that bad. 10 hits, could of had more if it wasn't for the Mets defense.

Mets defense = good.
Cards defense = not so good.

Mets are a good team. Probably the class of the NL. We were facing THE soft-tossing lefty in Glavine. Not suprised we lost.

Sloppy, stupid baseball on our part, some terrific baseball on the Mets. That's about it, 161 to go.

I hate Paul Lo Duca with a passion. I hate his stupid plastic eyebrows and the fact that everything he hits is a rinky dink single that finds a hole.

But I'm dumbfounded by how Tony's insistence on going with Taguchi in left field and batting Molina fifth. There were things tonight that couldn't be helped, but Carpenter and the offense were downright lousy.

I honestly think the season is over.

Just not enough pitching to get it done.

thats why there are 162 games in a year... you definately dont always look good when playing. I just find it funny that Taguchi flubbed some plays that a defensive outfielder should make, and then Wilson struck out and grounded into enough DP's....

not sure about everyone else out there but im sure JRod and Duncan could have done that
