Since the Mariners/Indians games have been pushed back all week long now Jeff Weaver will go tomorrow night against the Red Sox, and be put right in a situation against Josh Beckett...
now if not mistaken he hasn't pitched in about 2 weeks, and he is going against one of the best lineups in baseball..
any guess on how many runs he gives up, and how many innings he lasts?

my only guess is that they want to get Weaver a start so he doesnt go 3 weeks between throwing the ball... it would make sense though to go against one of the top teams with your big boys...
oh and they play against Texas this weekend in Seattle... so they are wanting to hold on to some of their big boys for that, and if not mistaken Weaver's had pretty rough outings against them in the past as well

Weaver proves his worth (about zero)
Forgive if this is doubled somewhere...
Seven runs in two innings against Boston, according to the Mariner's Web site. He was yanked after "a rough debut" according to the folks of MLB.com. Sure looks like a good thing we let him walk. I mean, I know it's early, and I know it's the Red Sox, but jeeze. This one will sting for Weaver for a while.
