Who would you like to see make the playoffs and perhaps win the World Series, aside from the Cardinals.

I can start with a few...

Reds - Griffey Jr.
Dodgers - Always liked them b/c of Lasorda.
Phillies - Wife's uncle is from Philly.
Brewers - Bob Uecker & Bernie the Brewer are pretty cool.
Athletics - Had a distant relative pitch for them in the 20s (Eddie Plank) when they were in Philly.
Rangers - I always wanted to see them win b/c of Nolan Ryan.

I haven't seen any of those teams really win in a while and I don't hate them. As long as they didn't beat us to get to the playoffs I could see myself rooting for one of those teams in the post season. Thoughts?

The Brewers for Uecker alone.

The A's are my second favorite team, so I'll go with them.

Marlins, Pirates, or Indians. I think they all have a small chance (Indians have a good chance).

Devil Rays and Royals would be fun to watch.

I love young talent.

If the Cards don't win the Central I hope upon hope that the Brewers do...they have a great ballpark up there and it'd be even greater if they could fill the darn place..

Other teams I wouldn't mind seeing win would be the Twinkees and Blue Jays in the AL and the Rockies in the NL...

I have no second favorite teams. It's St. Louis teams or bust.

If St. Louis doesn't go, I could care less who wins - unless, of course, the Cubs or Astros go. I'll then root for whoever is playing them.

If the Cards aren't in it, I root for the Cubs.

if I had to take a few teams on the outside of the Cards should they not make it I would go with...


Tampa Bay... just because they would be beating out Boston and New York

Detroit.... the team knows how to play, but at the same time whenever they go against the Cards I want them to lose.

Texas.... the hitting on that team is great, and they do have some decent pitching... would be nice to see them have a good chance..

Milwaukee.. not for Bob Uecker, but more or less because I want to see them do well cause they have been beaten and prodded on for years and they do have history.. course I want the Cards to beat them and not have to worry about it.

Washington... again much for the same reason as the D-Rays.. they get in the playoffs it means more than likely they outdid the Mets and the Braves.... course it won't happen...

San Francisco... I might be one of the few fans left of Barry, but I would like to see them make the playoffs and get to the World Series again at some time just for him to have another crack at a ring. Again though see above for the fact I just can't see them making it. the team is to old, and cant see them being able to hold up all season long...


That would be my six if I were to take a team from each division just for whatever reasons on the outside of the Cards making it. But we all know the birds will be there at the end

I like Barry Bonds too.
