Time for a roster shakeup?

In Oakland in 2001 (i think) they were kinda of slumping and they traded Jermey Giambi (for Mabry) and sent a couple guys to the minors.

Is the offense bad enough to do that kind of shakeup yet? Im a fan of SKip, but he offers as much as I do on the offensive end right now..not much. As was stated in a previous post, hes good for D and a lil speed, but A. hes not being inserted late b. Ya cant steal first base

You cant fault any of the pitchers. Other then it may come to a point where they feel they have to be to perfect and thats when problems start.

Im not sure who has options on the team (maybe just Skip), but time to bring up JROD. What the heck? Cant do any worse. Heck why not give EVERYONE a scare and Run Ankiel out there.

I know that Rolen/Edmonds/Ap will come around, but why not try to give the O a little shot?

I do not think that the lineup is a "quick fix" away from being a productive lineup.

I'm not sure what the solution is right now; we needed another bat or two this off-season, and it will not be easy to elevate the offense much at this point.

We'll certainly hit better than we are now because we know Albert will eventually be Albert, and a little more can be expected of Rolen and Edmonds than we've seen so far. But we're a 700-750 run lineup, and sending down Schu is not gonna impact that very much.

Yeah, I'm not criticizing your observation or idea . . . I just think that without reading too much into the first ~10 games we've seen so far, we're going to see a lot of this in 2007.

In other sports, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. It makes me sad that wouldn't help my beloved heroes.

I really believe that So and Preston wouldn't be here if we had something...A Right handed OF. I think that JRod would produce much better than Preston and I believe that Ankiel is better than So, the problem being, they are both lefthanders. I think that is why Preston and So are still around. We don't have any RH OF ready.

I do think that Skip won't be sent down until TLR has faith in his OF defense. To be fair it has been pretty good except for out backup. So I could see Skip down and JRod up by the end of May.

Unfortunately, the lineup needs to be tweaked at the 3 and 4 slots. Oh, that's Pujols and Rolen.

We have palyed 10 games and we are 5-5. This is what you would expect from this ballclub. We could be better if Albert and Scott where hitting better. But without Carp we will be nothing more than a mediocre team IMO
