What the heck is the status on Encar? I haven't heard anything since Spring Training about him.

Has there ever been a starting player whose return holds less anticipation than Encarnacion?

We finally know the answer to the age-old question "If Juan E got hurt would anyone care?"

First Encar post in at least 10 days, and the number of views thus far would lead you to believe the title of the thread was "Does this look infected to you?"

why worry about Encarnacion... I think we have another version of him in Preston Wilson who is decent but not much better than that..

HAHA! This thread cracks me up. Who knows, maybe Encar will have a better year or something, but it's just funny that NO ONE cares about when he is coming back.

Ha!
No. That's what really scares me about our lineup. If
Encarnacion is supposed to boost a struggling offense when he returns, we're in trouble.

I put in a postcard (
postcards@post-dispatch.com) to DG to ask for a general injury update, hopefully Encarnacion will be included in that. I'd urge everyone to follow up the same line of inquiry so we can see DG put his plus journalistic skills into getting us the word on all of the injured players on the Cards roster.
