Rick Majerus Named As SLU Head Coach

(KSDK) - It's official.
NewsChannel 5's Frank Cusumano has confirmed that Saint Louis University has hired Rick Majerus as its head men's basketball coach.
Majerus replaces Brad Soderberg, who was fired earlier this month after five seasons.

Can't wait to see how this changes things at SLU. It would be great if Rik could turn SLU into a Gonzaga-type b-ball program! Now I am happy to have season tickets

This is great news for Saint Louis basketball!
Nicely done.
I really want to see SLU and Mizzou play each other regularly now that both programs have no nonsense coaches that are going to put teams on the floor that reflect their personalities and style.

Mizzou doesn't like playing SLU...cuts into their recruiting. Definitely won't happen now that Maj is there
