Eh? Meh.
Atlanta to get cash considerations or player to be named later

edit - A decent gamble for the A's.

Not sure what Beane's doing. It doesn't hurt them I guess, but unless he can pass him through waivers to get him off the 40 man I don't understand it, even with the insanely low cost. Is he a super defender?

Yeah, why not. The Braves must have really given up on Langerhans.

BTW, anyone who follows Oakland more closely than I have an idea what their thinking is on Bobby Crosby right now? He's not bouncing back like they need him to.

Terrific defender on the corners, supposedly plus in CF as well. His PECOTA reads .360/.450 or so. I think Shannon Stewart was in CF on Sunday, and Kotsay, Kielty and Swisher are hurt. Supposedly Langerhans will be the CF in the A's next game in Boston.

He's definitely been a good-field, no-hit guy so far this year though, he's 3-44 on the season.

Ah, I wasn't aware of the injury situation. That PECOTA seems optimistic though, even with him being 27.

Langerhans has been dealt to Washington for Chris Snelling.

Man, Ryan "I can't dunk, I wish I had" Langerhans can't catch a break.

Berman can come up with some stuff.

How will Oakland A's fans remember the Ryan Langerhans era?

Probably about the same as they remember the Michael Barrett era.

How many years does Kendall have left on his ridiculous contract?
